Pulsebeat SPZL – a collaboration between adidas Spezial and Peter Saville.

Since Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures release in 1979 the album cover artwork has become a modern icon.

43 years later the designer of the sleeve, Peter Saville, has infused that visual with new meaning by reinterpreting biometric data from the men’s and women’s teams of Manchester United Football Club in order to redraw the artwork’s signature waveforms – described by Peter as a ‘living artwork’ which he has named ‘Pulsebeat’.
